Term, payment and cancellation

  • Ongoing services are agreed as an open-ended contract. There is no minimum term and no automatic renewal.
  • The monthly fee is payable in advance each month and is charged and collected again every month until the contract is cancelled. If the contract does not start on the first of a month, the first month is charged pro rata.
  • Either side can cancel at any time: if the notice is received by the 15th of a month, the contract ends at the end of that month, otherwise at the end of the following month (§ 621 no. 3 German Civil Code). Nothing is charged for later months; anything already paid is refunded.
  • An email to kontakt@ergindigital.com or the “Cancel contracts here” button is enough to cancel. You immediately receive a confirmation by email. The right to terminate for good cause remains unaffected.
  • Consumers also have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days from conclusion of the contract.
  • One-off jobs (for example a new website) are not subscriptions: you receive a quotation with a fixed price or an estimate, and an invoice once the work is done.

The enquiry is free of charge and not binding. I will send you a quotation with the price. A contract only comes about once you accept the quotation.

How it works

  2. Quotation with price

    I review your enquiry, clarify any open questions with you and prepare your quotation with the price.

  3. Link by email

    For ongoing support, the quotation is also the contract: you receive an email from kontakt@ergindigital.com with your personal link to vertrag.ergindigital.com. One-off jobs come as a quotation by email, followed by an invoice once the work is done.

  4. Confirm the code and sign

    Before signing, you request a confirmation code to your email address. Then you read the contract and sign with your mouse, finger or a stylus.

  5. Receive a copy

    After the last signature, everyone involved receives the signed document by email. The monthly fee is charged monthly from the start of the contract until it is cancelled.

Why is there no sign-up?

A customer account is neither needed nor intended. The enquiry does not create a contract yet. A contract only comes about when I personally send it to you for signature. Nobody can create a contract themselves or conclude one in someone else’s name.

You confirm who you are with the code sent to your email address. This protects you better than an extra password that can be forgotten or passed on.

Security and proof

  • My own signing platform on a server in Germany (Hetzner). Your documents are not passed to any signature service provider.
  • A confirmation code to your email address before every signature.
  • Audit trail with time, IP address and confirmed email address.
  • Electronic signature of the document and a timestamp from an independent RFC 3161 timestamping service, which makes later changes detectable. Only a check value goes to the timestamping service, not the document.
  • Only the invited person can sign. Forwarding to others is switched off.
